BBQing in L.A.

Have you ever tried to BBQ in L.A.?  

We hadn't until this past Saturday.  

We had BEAUTIFUL April weather.  

It was 75 degrees and sunny.  

So Tim and I finally caved 

and 

got a grill.  

Ok, Ok, so I think it's actually a hibachi...

Tim was like a kid in a candy store.  

What is it about men and fire?  

Grilling up some asparagus

So here's the catch about trying to BBQ in L.A. ...

We don't have a back yard.  

We live in an apartment.  

Thus, we grilled in the parking lot for our building.  

I (almost) wish I was kidding.  

It felt a little ghetto

but a lot fun.  

BBQing and sunny weather made it really feel like an early summer 

which, of course, 

made me want a Pacifico with lime.  

Hopefully, one day, we will have a yard to BBQ in.  Until then, this will work just fine.  

I owe a big THANK YOU to my husband

because he was the mastermind of this whole experience.  

He made fire got the grill working

cooked the food

and 

cleaned up.

All while I sat by eating chips,

listening to the Dodger game

and 

reading my book.  

and he looked good doing it  

I think we might be hooked on this.
